Let Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or any MCP client make images, video and audio with your Arumi credits.

Connect in a minute

One key, and one line in your assistant's settings.

  1. Create a key

On the API keys page, name the key and set a monthly credit limit. The key is shown only once, so copy it then.

  2. Add it to your assistant

Paste the command or the config below and put your key in place of YOUR_API_KEY.

  3. Ask in plain words

"Make a 5-second video of a lighthouse at dusk." Your assistant checks the price first, then generates.

Connection settings

Arumi is a remote MCP server over Streamable HTTP. The key goes in an Authorization header.

Server URL

https://api.arumi.ai/mcp

Claude CodeRun in a terminal.

claude mcp add --transport http arumi https://api.arumi.ai/mcp --header "Authorization: Bearer YOUR_API_KEY"

Codex

export ARUMI_API_KEY="YOUR_API_KEY"
codex mcp add arumi --url https://api.arumi.ai/mcp --bearer-token-env-var ARUMI_API_KEY

Run in a terminal. Put the first line in your shell profile (such as ~/.zshrc) so Codex finds the key every time.

Cursor and other clientsAdd to the client's MCP config file.

What your assistant can do

Nine tools, with the same prices and checks as the site.

  • Find a model

Browse all 55 image, video and audio models and read one model's inputs, settings and defaults.

    • list_models
    • get_model
  • See the price first

Get the credits a generation would cost and check the balance before anything is spent.

    • quote
    • get_balance
  • Generate and follow up

Start a generation, follow it until it finishes and get links to the results, including what you made on the site.

    • generate
    • get_generation
    • list_generations
  • Use your own files

Upload an image, video or audio file and pass it to a model as a reference.

    • create_upload
    • complete_upload

Spending stays in your hands

Your assistant spends your credits only within the limits you give it.

  • A ceiling on every generation

Each generation states the most it may cost. If the price is higher, it is refused and nothing is charged.

  • A monthly limit for each key

Give each key its own monthly credit limit. A key that reaches it stops generating until next month, or until you raise the limit.

  • The same prices as the site

A generation through MCP costs what it costs on the site. It appears in your History and on your bill with the key's name.

  • Revoke at any time

Arumi keeps only a fingerprint of each key. If a key leaks, revoke it on the API keys page and it stops working at once.

Frequently asked questions

Which assistants can connect?

Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, and other MCP clients that can connect to a remote server over HTTP and send an Authorization header. The config file's exact shape can differ a little from client to client.

Do I need to buy credits?

Yes. API keys are a paid feature: you can create and use them while your paid credits are valid, 120 days from your latest purchase. Buying any credit pack turns them back on.

What does a generation cost?

The same credits as on the site, at 1 credit = $0.01. Your assistant sees the price before it generates. A failed generation costs nothing unless the model service charged for it.

Where do the results go?

Your assistant gets links to the finished files. They are also in your History on Arumi, like everything you make on the site.

Is my key safe?

Arumi stores only a fingerprint of the key and its last four characters, and shows the key once. A key works only for MCP: it cannot sign in to the site or manage keys.

Can I have more than one key?

Up to 10 at a time, for example one for each assistant or computer. Each has its own monthly limit and its own name on your bill.
