Hotel Lobby AI

Two photos, one hanging mic: you and a friend or a pet in the Hotel Lobby video.

Make the Hotel Lobby AI video with two photos

The Hotel Lobby AI trend swaps two new faces into a famous rap duet: two performers in a bright orange studio, a single microphone hanging between them, trading verses with nods and hand gestures. Upload one photo for the performer on the left and one for the performer on the right, and the Hotel Lobby video comes back with your two subjects in their places, keeping the original moves, framing and timing.

What the Hotel Lobby trend is

The trend comes from Quavo and Takeoff's 2022 performance of their song Hotel Lobby on a well-known music video channel, filmed in a minimal orange booth with one hanging microphone. In autumn 2026 it turned into an AI video format on TikTok and Instagram: people replace the two performers with themselves, their friends, their pets or cartoon characters. Despite the name, the scene is not a hotel lobby.

How the Hotel Lobby AI video is made

Your two photos are matched to the two sides of our own Hotel Lobby-style base video: the subject in the left photo takes the left performer's place and the subject in the right photo takes the right one, for the whole clip, without ever swapping. This is a character swap of the whole performer, not a face sticker: each subject keeps their own face, hairstyle or fur, skin tone, outfit and accessories, and a natural height difference.

Everything else follows the base video: the studio, the lighting, the microphone between the performers, the camera angle, the gestures, the head nods and the timing. The finished video is as long as the base video and keeps its framing. Choose 480p, 720p or 1080p before you generate; 720p is selected first.

Photos that work best

Use one clear, well-lit photo for each side, with the face or the whole animal easy to see and nothing covering the eyes. A photo from the waist up or a full-body shot helps the outfit and the height difference come through. Group photos, sunglasses, heavy filters and very small faces make the swap less accurate.

What people make with Hotel Lobby AI

  • A duet with a friend

Best friends, partners, siblings or coworkers each take one side of the mic and post the result as their own take on the trend.

  • Pets on the mic

Cats and dogs are some of the most shared versions: the animal stands up like a performer and nods along, keeping its own fur and markings.

  • Just two photos

No filming and no editing: the studio, the microphone, the camera and the choreography are already there.

How to make a Hotel Lobby AI video

  1. Add the left performer

Upload one JPG, PNG or WebP photo of the person or pet who should stand on the left of the mic.

  2. Add the right performer

Upload one photo of the person or pet for the right side.

  3. Pick the quality and add an idea if you wish

720p is selected first; 480p and 1080p are there too. The optional box takes a small extra request, for example that both point at the camera at the end.

  4. Generate, then add the sound when you post

Check the credits on the button and generate the video. When you post it, most people add the Hotel Lobby sound from the app's music library.

How credits work for Hotel Lobby AI

Each Hotel Lobby video is one AI video generation, priced by the length of the base video and the quality you pick.

The Generate button shows the credits for this video before you click it, and a successful video is charged exactly that amount. A failure caused by us, or stopped by our own content checks, costs nothing. If the video service does not charge for a failed attempt, including a request its own content rules refused, neither do we; if it does, you pay for the actual usage, never more than the quote, and the record shows the charge.

Hotel Lobby AI is one of the AI tools that every credit pack unlocks, and it stays available for as long as your paid credits are valid.

Frequently asked questions

Need more information? Email us at support@arumi.ai.

What is the Hotel Lobby AI trend?

It is a viral AI video format based on Quavo and Takeoff's 2022 studio performance of the song Hotel Lobby. Two uploaded photos replace the two performers on either side of a hanging microphone, while the moves, the camera and the timing stay the same.

Is the video set in a hotel lobby?

No. The name comes from the song. The scene is a minimal orange studio with a single microphone hanging between the two performers.

Can I use a pet or a cartoon character?

Yes. Cats and dogs work well: the animal stands upright like a performer and moves its head and paws to the beat, keeping its own fur, markings and eye colour. Characters and illustrations work too, as long as the face is clear.

Can I upload my own video instead?

Not on this page: it always uses our Hotel Lobby-style base video. Other video tools in Arumi work with videos you upload.

Can I put someone else in the video?

Only upload photos of people who agree to it and that you have the right to use. Do not use the tool to impersonate, mislead about or embarrass a real person, and ask before you share a video of someone else.
