Add audio to video

Put music or any sound on a video, replace or mix the original sound, and export.

Add audio to video, right in your browser

Open a video and an audio file, choose whether the new sound replaces the original or plays along with it, and export the video with music. Set where the song starts, skip its intro, loop a short track to the end and fade it out, then download the result. No sign-in, no watermark, and your files never leave the device.

Replace or mix the original sound

Choose Replace it to put music over a video and drop its own sound, for example to change the audio of a clip with background noise. Choose Mix with it to keep the original voices or sound under the new track, and set each volume separately, from silent to twice as loud.

Line the song up with the video

Start the audio at any second of the video, and start using the song from any second of its own, so you can skip a long intro or begin on the chorus. A track shorter than the video can loop until the end, a longer one is cut at the end of the video, and a short fade-out keeps the ending from stopping abruptly. Preview plays the video with the sound exactly as it will be exported, and the bar under it shows where the audio plays.

Typical uses

Adding background music to a travel clip or a product video, putting a trending sound on a short before you post it, adding a voiceover recorded separately, or replacing the audio in a screen recording. Videos in MP4, MOV and WebM up to 2 GB and 10 minutes, and audio in MP3, WAV, M4A, AAC, OGG and FLAC, can be opened. Use music you have the right to use.

Key features

  • Never uploaded

The video and the audio are combined inside the browser; neither file leaves the device.

  • Free, no account

No sign-in, no credits and no watermark. Open two files and export.

  • Picture left untouched

Only the sound is rebuilt. The picture is copied as it is, so the quality is the same as the video you opened and export is fast.

Need more information? Email us at support@arumi.ai.

Is adding audio to a video really free?

Yes. It runs in your browser, so there is no sign-in, no credit cost and no watermark on the exported video.

Are my files uploaded?

No. The video and the audio are read and combined on your device, and the result stays in this page until you download it.

Can I keep the original sound and add music under it?

Yes. Choose Mix with it, then lower the music or the original sound until the voices are clear.

What happens if the song is shorter or longer than the video?

A longer song is cut where the video ends, with an optional fade-out. A shorter one stops when it ends, or loops from the point you chose until the video ends.

Does adding audio lower the video quality?

No. The picture is copied without being re-encoded; only the sound is mixed and encoded again. The result is an MP4, or a WebM when the video's own format cannot go into MP4.
