Trim video online, right in your browser
Open a video, drag the edges on the timeline to keep the part you want, and export it as an MP4. The video trimmer can also crop the picture to a vertical, square or wide frame and remove audio from the video, so one clip is ready for the platform you post it on.
Trim, crop and mute
Drag either edge of the highlighted part of the timeline, drag the middle to move it, or type exact start and end times, then play the selection to check it. Choose a frame to crop video for a vertical short (9:16), a square post (1:1), a portrait feed post (4:5) or a wide video (16:9); the centre of the picture is kept and the preview shows what stays. Tick Remove sound to mute the video.
Private and free
Reading and encoding run on your own device with the video tools built into the browser. The file is never uploaded, there is no account, and nothing is added to the picture, so a family video or an unreleased clip is never stored on someone else's server.
Typical uses
Cutting the waiting at the start of a recording, keeping the best moment of a long video for a short post, making a vertical version of a landscape clip, or removing background noise and music before you add your own. MP4, MOV and WebM files up to 2 GB and 60 minutes can be opened.
Key features
Never uploaded
The video is read and exported inside the browser; the file does not leave the device.
Free, no account
No sign-in, no credits and no watermark. Open a video and trim it.
Frame-accurate cuts
Set the start and the end to the millisecond; the exported clip starts and ends on the frames you chose.

Frequently asked questions
Need more information? Email us at support@arumi.ai.
Is the video trimmer really free?
Yes. It runs in your browser, so there is no sign-in, no credit cost and no watermark on the exported video.
Is my video uploaded?
No. The file is read and exported on your device, and the clip stays in this page until you download it.
Why does the clip start slightly early in some browsers?
Exact cuts need the browser to re-encode the video. When a browser cannot do that, the trimmer copies the video instead and starts at the nearest key frame, which can be a little before the start you chose; the result says when this happens. The latest Chrome, Edge and Safari cut exactly.
Can I crop a video for Instagram, TikTok or YouTube Shorts?
Yes. Choose 9:16 for vertical shorts and stories, 4:5 or 1:1 for feed posts, or 16:9 for wide video. The centre of the picture is kept and the rest is cropped.
